How Do We Rank These E-Commerce Payment Tools?
What do we think about when we're ranking these sites? First off, we never recommend a product unless we've used it. We've used Stripe in some of our successful portfolio companies and on our websites, too. It's developer friendly. 3 things we love about it: it's affordable; it's easy of use; and the customer service is excellent. If you have any issues, Stripe is always there for you. It's a rapidly growing company and frankly, an easy product to use and start collecting money so that you're not always spending money, you're bringing money in to counter balance and hopefully grow as a startup. Stripe is the number 1 best site to collect money and begin your eCommerce journey.
Second is Shopify which, by the way, is a publicly traded company now. It's been around for quite awhile. Shopify's easy, and it's got great templates. Although we like Shopify, we like the developer aspect of Stripe more. We highly recommend the remaining e-commerce tools we've listed for you, but we stand behind our #1 choice, Stripe. One thing to note is that Stripe isn't necessarily the most easy for those who aren't a coder or a developer. You really need to grab and read their tutorial and read through the instructions. Also watch some of their web tutorials. Frankly, that's the only caveat I would give to you as a startup before you start using it. Don't forget to sign up for our course; we look forward to hearing from you!
